Kosovo’s judicial system exists to serve the public interest. Kosovo’s judicial system belongs to all citizens of Kosovo regardless of their national origin, ethnicity or gender.
Basic Court of Prizren is one of the seven courts in the Republic of Kosovo. Basic Court of Prizren has two branches: Suharekë dge Dragash. Basic Court of Prizren and its three branches offer easier access to the services of the court of the first instance to the population of the region under the jurisdiction of the Court in Prizren including 151 villages.
As a court of first instance, the Basic Court of Prizren and its three branches deal with all kinds of cases. These cases are handled by specialized departments that operate within each basic court.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Court branches in Suharekë dge Dragash deal only with cases that are the competence of the General Department. Cases that fall under the competence of two other departments are resolved by the Basic Court in Prizren.
Basic Court in Prizren is the main headquarter of the Prizren Judicial Region, which covers the municipalities of:

-Dragash
-Suharekë
Court branches serve as a geographical subdivision of the Basic Court and are located in Dragash and Suharekë. Municipality of Dragash is served from the branch of Kamenica, while the municipality of Suharekë is served from the branch in Suharekë. While the municipality of Prizren is served from the Basic Court in Prizren.
